Over-the-counter and hearing benefit
Plans from Ochsner Health Plan include a Flex Card to provide members access to over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, health related items, and routine hearing care, including prescription hearing aids, routine hearing exams, fittings/evaluations for hearing aids. Prescription hearing aids are available through our hearing benefits only and not through the over-the-counter benefit.Â
Members of Ochsner Health Plan Dual can also use their Flex Card to pay for healthy foods, utilities, and transportation to and from healthcare appointments.

Using your Flex Card for OTC and Hearing
Activate your card
Call toll-free: 1-844-266-8394 or activate online at https://www.mybenefitscenter.com. Once your card has been activated, you can make purchases with available funds.
NOTE: The Flex Card does not use or require a PIN number at checkout.
Visit a participating retailer or qualified hearing provider
Use your card at participating retailers in store to buy over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and health related items OR for your routine hearing care at participating retailers and at qualified hearing provider locations. Swipe your card when paying, and all eligible items up to your available allowance amount will be covered.

Shop Online
To order OTC products online, you may use your card at https://flex.ochsnerhealthplan.com/ or the OTC-Anywhere mobile app for covered over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and health related items delivered to your home.Â
The Flex Card is NOT accepted at any online retailer other than https://flex.ochsnerhealthplan.com/ for online over-the-counter item purchases.Â
Excluded Retailers
The OHP Flex Card is NOT accepted for hearing aid purchases at Costco or Sam's Club.
Additionally, the Flex Card may not be used at any online store other than https://flex.ochsnerhealthplan.com/ for over-the-counter purchases.
How does the card work?
When are funds available?
At the beginning of the plan year or in the first quarter of your enrollment, the flex card is loaded with funds for over-the-counter items and routine hearing. Each quarter, the Flex Card is reloaded with funds for over-the-counter items. Hearing funds for the entire year are loaded at once at the beginning of the year.
Card Allowance
The amount of funds loaded into your card depends on your plan benefit. Check your plan’s Evidence of Coverage or ochsnerhealthplan.com for more information.
Funds Expire Each Quarter
Funds for over-the-counter items must be used within the quarter that they are issued and do not roll over from one quarter to the next.
Hearing Allowance
Hearing funds are loaded onto the Flex Card in the first month of plan membership. Hearing funds are loaded onto the card in one lump sum for the entire year. The funds must be spent within the plan year and do not roll over.
Be sure to use your OTC benefit allowance before it expires

For the best flex card experience, you can create an online account by visiting https://flex.ochsnerhealthplan.com/ or downloading the OTC-Anywhere mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play store.
You'll be able to track your balance, find eligible items and discounts.
Where can I use my card?
You can use your Ochsner Health Plan Flex Card to purchase covered over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and health related items online at the Ochsner Health Plan OTC store https://flex.ochsnerhealthplan.com/ or at participating retailers that accept VISA. Below are a few of our participating retailers. You can search for retailers in your area using the OTC-Anywhere mobile app.
