Using your hearing benefit for hearing aids and hearing exams
All plans from Ochsner Health Plan include access to routine hearing care, including hearing aids, routine hearing exams, and fittings/evaluations for hearing aids. As a member, you'll receive a Visa debit card preÂloaded with funds for you to use to pay for your hearing aids and exams.
The Flex Card is truly flexible! Enjoy the flexibility use your card at any hearing provider that accepts VISA. We recommend you have the vendor perform an in-person "test swipe" of your card to assure that it is accepted.
The card is NOT accepted at Sam's Club or Costco for hearing aids or exams. The card may ONLY be used to buy hearing aids online at hearanywhere.com.
Using your Flex Card for Hearing Aids and Hearing Exams
Activate your card
Your card WILL NOT work until activated.
Call toll-free: 1-844-266-8394 or activate online at https://www.mybenefitscenter.com. Once your card has been activated, you can make purchases with available funds.
NOTE: The Flex Card does not use or require a PIN number at checkout.
How funds work
Hearing funds are loaded onto the Flex Card in the first month of plan membership. Hearing funds are loaded onto the card in one lump sum for the entire year. The funds must be spent within the plan year and do not roll over.
Visit a participating retailer or qualified hearing provider
Use your card in person at participating retailers for your routine hearing care at qualified hearing provider locations. Swipe your card when paying, and all eligible items up to your available allowance amount will be covered.
If you want to make sure that your card will be accepted, ask your retailer to do an in-person test swipe before you make a purchase.
Excluded Retailers
The OHP Flex Card is NOT accepted for hearing aid purchases at Costco or Sam's Club.Â
